Hog Roast Ripon Caters For A Dreamy Autumn Wedding!

Hog Roast Ripon When it comes to weddings, there’s no such thing as “out of season”—it’s all about crafting the day you’ve always dreamed of. For Lily and Alex, that dream was a picturesque autumn wedding, and they’ve been counting down the days since Alex popped the question back in June 2023.

Fast forward to last weekend, and their vision came to life in the most enchanting way! With a backdrop of fiery red and golden trees, a crunchy carpet of fallen leaves, and a beautifully converted barn adorned with oak beams wrapped in fairy lights, this wedding was simply magical.

Lily and Alex had meticulously planned every detail of their big day, and everything was just as they had imagined. As they exchanged vows surrounded by nature’s breathtaking palette, it was clear that this was a day they would cherish forever. Adding to the magic, Hog Roast Ripon had the honour of catering for this beautiful autumn celebration, and we were determined to make it unforgettable.

With our catering manager, Richard, leading the way, we ensured all 200 guests were well taken care of with a fabulous feast that exceeded expectations. We prepared our Alfresco Wedding Menu, featuring a striking spit-roasted pig that left everyone stunned. Complemented by savoury sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and tangy applesauce, this dish was a crowd-pleaser.

To round out the meal, we offered a variety of sides, including fresh salads, gourmet coleslaw, and roasted new potatoes seasoned with fragrant rosemary and garlic. As for our non-meat-eating attendees, we presented scrumptious BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls topped with plant-based coleslaw—a hearty alternative that was met with rave reviews! As guests dined, they were also treated to bamboo charcuterie boards overflowing with Italian cold cuts, artisanal cheeses, fresh breads, and delightful dressings.

To top off this unforgettable dining experience, dessert was nothing short of spectacular. Hog Roast Ripon’s handmade chocolate tortes and delicious profiteroles delighted the sweet-toothed guests and proved to be a chocolate lover’s dream.

As the evening came to a close, the bride and groom couldn’t stop smiling – they were over the moon with the high standard of service and quality cuisine that Hog Roast Ripon delivered! The feast was everything they hoped for and more and they couldn’t thank Richard and the team enough.
