It’s that time of year again, folks! The office Christmas party season is in full swing, and nothing beats the mix of Secret Santa surprises, awkward karaoke renditions, and mulled wine-induced merriment. This annual shindig isn’t just about letting your hair down—it’s the reward we all look forward to after working hard all year. And, for managers, it’s a golden opportunity to thank their teams, boost morale, and kickstart the holiday spirit.
This year, companies across North Yorkshire have been pulling out all the stops, and we at Hog Roast Richmond have been thrilled to be part of the festivities! One of our most memorable events took place just last Friday when we catered a fabulous Christmas party for an independent petrol station’s team of 30. Their manager didn’t just plan a party—he created an experience to remember, starting with a Christmas-themed escape room adventure!
While the group was busy ‘escaping’, Hog Roast Richmond spent hours curating a Festive Menu that would leave everyone satisfied and ready to embrace the holiday spirit. Using real flames, we slow-roasted free-range turkeys to perfection, ensuring the meat was moist, tender, and the skin a glorious shade of golden brown. Alongside the turkey, we served up homemade cranberry sauce, sage and onion stuffing, and a whole host of indulgent sides. Think creamy cauliflower cheese, perfectly roasted potatoes, glazed seasonal vegetables, and, of course, the crowd favourite — pigs in blankets!
The vibe was lively, with our catering manager, Richard, ensuring everything was ready to go just as the group wrapped up their escape room adventure. After hours of puzzling and teamwork, they were more than ready to devour our delicious spread. Plates were piled high, but they wisely saved some room for dessert. And oh, what a dessert it was! Our Hog Roast Richmond Christmas special — homemade mince pies drizzled with warm brandy cream — along with mulled wine (alcohol-optional, of course) brought the perfect festive touch to the evening.
