We’ve been soaking up the sun lately, and let us tell you – there’s nothing quite like cooking under blue skies and basking in that warm, golden glow. The recent sunny spell has brought everyone outdoors, and we’ve been loving every second of it. With our aprons on and tongs in hand, we’ve had the chance to serve up our famous fare the way it was meant to be enjoyed – out in the open, surrounded by laughter, chatter, and mouthwatering smells in the air.
This past weekend, our trusty catering manager, Richard, hit the road in the beloved Hog Roast Ripon van and made his way to a nearby village for a classic car show that had all the vintage vibes you could dream of. Shiny bonnets, polished chrome, and engines that purred like kittens lined the village green, while crowds wandered through the show, snapping pics and indulging in some top-tier street food.
The event was open to all, but ticket holders got a few tasty perks – like entry into the raffle and a complimentary hog roast, straight from our sizzling spit. That’s right – our legends at Hog Roast Ripon were there to bring the flavour, and boy, did we deliver.
Cooking for 400 hungry guests is no small task, but Richard and the team were up to the challenge. They slow-roasted our top-quality, free-range pigs to perfection – skin crackling, meat melt-in-your-mouth tender. And when it was time to serve? We didn’t miss a beat.
Every ticket holder walked away with a warm, floury bap packed to the brim with juicy pulled pork, crispy crackling, herby sage and onion stuffing, and a generous dollop of our signature homemade applesauce. No mess, no fuss – just pure hog roast heaven.
Needless to say, the sandwiches were a hit. Guests couldn’t get enough, munching happily as they strolled through the car displays or lined up for carnival games.
Hog Roast Ripon had a brilliant time catering for this event and we want to say a big thanks to the event organisers and everyone who came by for a bite!
