Here in Fulford, their team are hard at work, developing 650 new homes just a stone’s throw from the gorgeous city of York.
With a small army working tirelessly behind the scenes to get the remaining houses finished on schedule, the Persimmon management team decided to reward their 120 strong crew with a well-deserved break complete with a tasty meal. And not just any meal – a hog roast was on the menu!
Naturally, Hog Roast Fulford was the number one choice for this event and we’re delighted to share the guests were over the moon with the food we served. From the classic hog roast main, complete with applesauce, stuffing and crackling down to the homemade crispy fries, everything was executed to perfection.
While meat is our specialty, Hog Roast Fulford are also passionate about making sure each guest feels included, and on this occasion we were asked to provide a vegetarian alternative for the handful of non-meat-eaters in the crowd. Needless to say, they were just as thrilled with our veggie/vegan option of grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers served with tzatziki dip, flatbreads and punchy sweet chilli sauce.
With plenty of top notch food to go around and everyone in great spirits, the only thing that could have made this get-together any better was a bit of sunshine – and it just so happens the weather was on our side. Guests were able to kick back on the grass and enjoy some quality time as they dug into Hog Roast Fulford’s bountiful buffet.
