When Charlotte and Grant said “I do,” they did it in style! Their wedding was the epitome of vintage glamour, and it’s safe to say it was a celebration to remember. Set in a breathtaking venue that could have been plucked from a classic film, the day was filled with elegance, charm, and a whole lot of fun.
The dress code matched the theme, and the guests truly brought their A-game. Ladies twirled in gowns with shimmering beads and flowing skirts, and gents looked dapper in sharp suits and bow ties. The venue, decked out with twinkling fairy lights and lush floral arrangements, made everyone feel like they had travelled back in time.
Hog Roast Ripon was thrilled to be part of this spectacular event, and our catering manager, Richard, truly outdid himself. As guests arrived, they were greeted with glasses of fresh fruit juice and Cava—talk about a sparkling start!
Our team circulated with a stunning array of canapés, each one more delightful than the last. We had roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, succulent roasted duck, and smoked Scottish salmon that were pure perfection. Veggie-friendly quiches and a delectable Indian selection made their rounds on chic bamboo boards, ensuring that every bite was a burst of flavour that had everyone buzzing with excitement.
The sit-down dinner was a culinary masterpiece – and that’s according to the guests! Hog Roast Ripon presented a vibrant heritage tomato and beetroot carpaccio, topped with buffalo mozzarella and a zesty balsamic reduction for the starter.
When it came to the main course, guests were spoiled for choice! Succulent spit-roasted English lamb with Yorkshire puddings and mint sauce, juicy free-range chicken with chipolata sausages and sage and onion stuffing, and grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers had everyone catered for. Sides of crisp salads, creamy coleslaw, and rich dauphinoise potatoes rounded out the meal beautifully.
Dessert was a showstopper, featuring vacherins of strawberries with passion fruit cream and a decadent chocolate torte that left everyone fulfilled.
As the evening unfolded, the party moved to the dance hall, where an extra 70 guests joined the celebration, making the total a whopping 180 revellers! Hog Roast Ripon kept the party alive with a late-night BBQ buffet of beef burgers, chicken kebabs, and sticky spareribs, giving everyone the perfect fuel to keep dancing until dawn.
Charlotte and Grant’s vintage glamour wedding was a dazzling success, and the bride and groom were overjoyed with the fantastic food and top-notch service from Hog Roast Ripon.
