Earlier this year, Hog Roast Hunmanby was hired to cater for a sports day taking place this July at a local secondary school. The school is a specialist sports school, so it is natural for sports day to be a big event, with pupils, parents, and teachers all getting involved with the activities. The day includes a variety of sporting events, matches, and races, as well as plenty of encouragement and cheering from others. To keep everyone fueled up and ready to compete, Hog Roast Hunmanby was on hand to serve a delicious buffet lunch for all 350 attendees to enjoy.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Hunmanby team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare the menu before the 1:00pm serving time. We began by barbequing the main dishes, which included succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, juicy beef burgers, halloumi and vegetable skewers, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spare ribs. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. For the sides, we provided homemade chips, corn on the cob, gourmet coleslaw, and a variety of seasonal salad options. Overall, our menu allowed every guest to choose a delicious lunch from the variety of dishes that we had to offer, which was ideal for an event of this size. The lunch went down a treat and was the perfect way to break up such a busy day.
