For anyone with a wedding upcoming I’ve little doubt that you’ve been watching the weather closely every single day in the hopes that it begins to brighten up in time for your own special day. It’s been weeks now of the summer season teasing us with largely cloudy and rainy days with the odd outbreak of sunshine just to get us all excited, and if you’ve a wedding coming up then that’s a less than ideal situation to be in.
At Hog Roast Settle we know this to be the case because our customer of last week, Mr and Mrs Gerson, had their eyes on the weather the last few weeks too in anticipation of their own planned outdoor wedding and dining service.
As always with Hog Roast Settle, we try where possible to make provisional plans for your dining when one plan looks like it might not turn out. It pays to be ready to be flexible in case the weather for your outdoor dining service doesn’t hold up, in which case we’ll be ready to pivot. It’s less than ideal, but better to be prepared always. In the case of a wedding, however, we know that above all you want to have your special day be as perfect as you’ve imagined it, so when something like the weather can play havoc it can be panic stations.
We knew that the Gerson’s-to-be really wanted their outdoor ceremony; they had hired an incredible spa venue with beautiful grounds and an excellent back space with stunning views overlooking the area. The weather in the days preceding was poor, but thankfully come Saturday morning it looked like the sun may just win out through the clouds, and so we set ourselves right up to the last minute to prepare for an outdoor dining service. Thankfully, both the ceremony and our dining went off without a hitch; the weather stayed dry with the odd bits of sunshine and warmth making for a lovely afternoon and evening with the new Mr and Mrs Gerson. The Hog Roast Settleteam was delighted to have given them the exact dining service they were after – it came out exactly as both we and they had hoped in the end thanks to a little bit of sunshine and pre-planning!
