Summer might be over for another year (boo!) but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a great time! The ‘ber months are full of reasons to celebrate, and nothing keeps the festivities alive like some proper tasty grub!
For Dominic and Ruth’s vow renewal at Camp Katur on Saturday, Hog Roast Bedale lifted everyone’s spirits with our Gourmet BBQ Menu, which was so delicious, it made everyone forget about the miserable weather outside. Not that we’re tooting our own horn, or anything…
Not only was our menu out of this world in terms of taste and presentation, but it was inclusive too. With the bride having a gluten intolerance, it was important for us to serve as many gluten-free options as possible, and we didn’t disappoint.
Hog Roast Bedale rustled up a selection of gluten-free butcher’s sausages and handmade British beef burgers made from premium quality free-range meat. We also prepared chicken kebabs with a Thai kick, meaty spare ribs marinated in a sticky BBQ sauce and veggie burgers and sausages for the non-meat-eaters. As if that wasn’t enough, we also prepared our famous hog roast with all the trimmings – stuffing, applesauce and, of course, that classic crackling.
Allowing guests to customise their plates is something we are passionate about at Hog Roast Bedale, and with the variety of sides on offer at this event, everyone was spoilt for choice. From fried onions and cheese toppings to Greek salad, homemade coleslaw and freshly made sweet potato and classic fries with salt, vinegar and a choice of sauces, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The happy couple and their 100 guests were kept cosy and dry inside the barn as the weather waged war outside. With exposed brickwork and high ceilings, this airy space was the perfect setting for the day’s activities. Guests mingled, stuffing their faces with Hog Roast Bedale’s delicious selection of food before hitting the dance floor for some lively ceilidh dancing that carried into late hours
