And last week, Hog Roast Ainderby Quernhow had the chance to be a part of one such significant milestone in Margaret’s life. The celebration, meticulously planned by her loving husband, John, was a heartfelt tribute to Margaret’s years of hard work and dedication to her career.
Margaret, with a heart full of gratitude for her job and the friendships she had cultivated, eagerly anticipated the new adventures that retirement would bring. To commemorate this momentous occasion, John organised a retirement party that brought together 75 close friends and family, all eager to share in Margaret’s joy. Hog Roast Ainderby Quernhow, led by our skilled catering manager, Steven, had the honour of crafting a delectable feast that would leave a lasting impression.
The celebration unfolded in the cosy confines of a local event hall, where Hog Roast Ainderby Quernhow set up our equipment discreetly along the back wall to ensure the spotlight remained firmly on the festivities. The chosen menu, the elegant Hog Roast Dining Menu, was a testament to the sophistication of the evening.
Guests were treated to a choice between a traditional hog roast, complete with stuffing, crackling, and applesauce, and a mouth-watering whole-roasted sirloin of English beef, delicately brushed with mustard and served with Yorkshire puddings and rich red wine gravy. For those with a preference for vegetarian delights, we served delectable grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs, showcasing a medley of flavours and textures.
The accompanying sides were just as enticing, featuring creamy dauphinoise potatoes that melted in the mouth and vibrant, crisp salads that provided a refreshing contrast. As the evening progressed, the air was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and warm wishes, creating an atmosphere of love and camaraderie.
